Pay Per Click (PPC)
PPC is short for pay-per-click, an advertising model in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. The idea behind it is rather simple—by paying the businesses that clearly stand out with the most attractive offers and services, you can attract customers to your shop. PPC (search engine marketing) works much like traditional forms of advertising, except that it relies on the high traffic numbers of search engines in order to work. What this means is that click rates tend to be much higher than through standard online advertising mechanisms: basically, you have a better chance at making more sales.
